it all depends on which part of Texas you are in and the time of the year. In the panhandle it gets very cold and lots of snow and ice. not many trees to change colors. in the far east side of state trees do change colors but there are a lot of pine and evergreens. they are usually pretty rainy but have had drought last year or so. in central Texas autumn can be moderate, lots of hill country and pretty vegetation. south Texas is very moderate seldom seeing cold weather especially in valley. west Texas has different type of cold, the worst being ice storms in january or february. fall consists of an occasional 'norther' blowing in dropping temps to 50s. Texas really is a very large diversified state and has different things for different tastes.
