Hey, I am working on becoming A+ Certified, which is supposed to be the basis of an IT career. Once I become certified, I was wondering where must I start off to find a job, such as Best Buy, Circuit City or another business. Will they hire a College bound High school student? Finding a job is important for my Resume and to me! I need money fast, and Tech jobs pay well! I also possess enough knowledge for computers, I know Java Visual Basic and many others!
I am living in the Washington DC area.

Bad answers will get a thumbs down!

Thnx!

You are looking for an 'entry level job', someone that is willing to take you with no experience. Check the local Craigslist...

Theres hundreds of postings looking for IT workers in the last few days. Be honest with the people you contact and keep looking untill you find what you need. There is lots of work in IT right now so you shouldn't have a big problem finding a good situation.

You can try out several options.

1) IT Helpdesk / IT Support (IT Firms/Banks)
2) Call Centre (IT Firms/Banks)
3) Customer Service (Banks/Credit Card Co.)
4) Retail Sales
5) Production Support (Banks)

These positions normally don't mind high school students but for IT support positions, you need to brush up on C++, Unix (Shell Scripting)...etc
