I've got a degree already but have choosen to pursue a career in law, i'm 6weeks in to a 2yr conversion course and really enjoying it, though it's intensive to say the least.

The fees are huge though! 1st yr £5,650 2nd £8,650

just what you want to add to the student loan.... : )

Because you'll make it back 10 times over in the first 5yrs!

In effect you can usually get away with paying for your first year and then getting sponsored by a big firm, a. if you're any good and b. if your specialism is going to be something they are short of. You then get your articles at the same firm and usually are committed for another year after that, and then you're free!!! and earning a fortune!

The cost of lawschool reflects the high investement you're making in your "human capital." A law degree represents a potential higher salary than say a Masters in English or an MSW.

Because your paying for a top class education that is highly competitive. I did one year of law at university that was expensive and I left because I found it boring.

Look at it as an investment for your future. When you're earning £5k a week you'll be thankful you did it.

i just have to echo all the porevious answers. You are going to go into a high-paying profession. Your tutors have chosen to teach you, rather than participate in that high-paying profession.
if you think you can hack it, it will all be worth it in the end.
