Interesting question! I don't know French history all that well, but if the present system is working there should be no need to re-vamp it.

Do you have reasons to think they will or should make changes?

The French surrender to everyone.
The French betray their friends.
(Maybe that's why the French are not trusted and don't have any friends anymore.)

Because of Socialism, France is becoming a Third World Banana Republic.
Without any bananas.
