If I'm already going through traffic and the light starts to turn i speed up a little. Other wise i slow down for a stop.

In a car, speed up. On a motorcycle, slow down. Size DOES matter!

SPEED UP!! Thats why they have an orange light, it is a signal to indicate that there will be a change in the flow of traffic and you need to speed up in order to cross the intersection.
Its like in a bar when they call last drinks... its not an indication that you need to stop drinking, its telling you that you need to drink more so your not thirsty and/or sober later!

it depends on how far away I am. If I'm close, I'd rather speed up than slam on my brakes. If I know I won't make it, I slow down.

it depends on how close I am to the light if I am far I will stop but near I am speeding to make it
