The period she had could have been Implantation bleeding instead of a period.Implantation bleeding is when the egg attaches itself to the uterine wall. This usually happens around the time you expect your period so some people mistake it for their period. but remember that everyone is different, some people may get it sooner than others and a vast majority do not get it at all. Also, alot of people get some light spotting right before their period so it really depends on the individual. As for doing the math I'm 12 weeks 4 days pregnant my LMP was July 23rd.I would just be honest with her.Tell her you have doubts the baby is yours and you want a paternity test after the baby is born.

Doctors have been known to make mistakes, and ultrasounds are sometimes wrong, but women have been known to lie, too. Be careful, talk to a lawyer, and after the birth get a DNA test. I assume you had broke up with her before you found out she was pregnant? I would not get back into a relationship with her if that is the case, tell her you can be her friend, and if the baby is yours, you'll do the right thing, but other than that tell her the math does not add up, so you are going to be cautious.
Oh, one more thing, most girls are a little irregular on their periods, and she may not know the date of her last period. For us, it becomes a fact of life that we pay little attention to, until it doesn't show up!

I wouldnt cut her off just yet. Sometimes Doctors are wrong and so are the ultrasounds. For example, my friend who just had a baby was told she was 16 weeks pregnant, when in reality they finally figured out towards the end of the pregnancy that she was actually a month farther along than first though. This was because she had said her last period was in January but she had had implantation bleeding from getting pregnant...not a period. Her real last period had been in December. But some women mistake this for a period. Hope you understand what Im saying. But dont give up just yet.

you havent had sex with your girlfriend in 3 months or so? How can she be 8 weeks pregnant unless she had sex with someone or you and you forgot in August, THEN she can be 8 weeks pregnant.
She could be telling the truth and the results of the ultrasound wrong, OR she could be seeing just how much she can get away with if shes not.
You can find this out very easily after the baby is born. You may be the father but if you are not, you can find out.
It would be terrible if you ditched her and found out you really were the father.
Its going to be pretty bad for her if shes been lying to you.
You two must not be very close though if you rarely make love unless you werent together all this time?
Did you go to the doctor with her??Go to any other doctors appointments with her and ask anything you want.

first the cat lover lady is wrong because the only time you can deduct 2weeks is when u havent had a u/s yet and they take it from the first day of her last period
an ultrasound however is right(unless the baby isnt growing properly)
so for example todays date the 19th oct go back 8weeks makes it
august24th go back another 7-12days for implantation and that means the egg was fertilised between the 13th-18th of august
so roughly she had sex from the earliest of the 7th of aug(cause sperm can live for 7 days)
if her last period was the middle of august it means she was supossed to ovulate around the 30th july but she didnt?
have the 12week u/s done and see if the dates are consistant then make ur desison but unless the baby isnt growing properly i dont think this is ur baby sorry

I was 8 weeks pregnant when i found out, but i was only 5 days late. I had a period the month before, or so I thought. When the embryo first implants in the side of the uterus, it can cause bleeding, which is usually interpreted as a light period. I was 2 months pregnant when i found out, but i thought i was only a couple weeks. The period your girl thought she had was probably the embryo implanting in the side of her uterine wall. My husband had the same reaction as you (on the 2 months part, not the paternity part). I think she's telling the truth. But, then again, i'm not her, so i don't know...but the details check out fine.

If she is just now 8 weeks then she got pregnant around the beginning of September (7th or so). And her last period should have been 8 weeks ago. (Docs count the entire cycle as being pregnant even though she technically isn't pregnant untill about the 2nd week which is right around ovulation)
If she had her period after you had sex then she wasn't pregnant from you.
If her last period was mid July she would have gotten pregnant sometime in August (about 2 weeks after her period) and would be due the end of April and would be about 12.5 weeks now. She would have been 8 weeks mid-September.
She is only 8 weeks now so she got pregnant around early Spetember and her last period should have been mid to late August. her due date would be end of May.
Here is a due date calculator that helps sort out the dates for you....

You had sex with her before July 9th right? Like about 8 weeks ago. I see a whole lot of child support in your future. Have a blood test as soon as the baby is born!

Go to court and request and paternity test. Contact her doctor and see if you can find out any info about her conception date. I know it is hard on males when there is a question. I would have a paternity test done, even if it makes her mad or upset at least you will have the piece of mind knowing that this child belongs to you and you will not be stuck paying for someone else child. Be firm stand your ground. GOOD LUCK!!!

the last time you had sex with her was on july 9th, and you are still with her? Why? What do you mean you are supporting it? It hasnt even been born yet. If you arent getting anything out of the relationship now, its going to get worse the fatter she gets. When the thing pops out, get a dna test, then dont sign anything or pay a penny till the courts make you, if you sign that its yours, you may end up paying for it for the next 18+ years even if the dna proves its not yours. watch out, she is looking for financial security and support now, even if she wasnt before this happened.
