What is it called when you work in one city and you live there part ime, and then go back home part time?

This is not commuting, but there is another word for it that I can not think of. Its when a person gets a job in Arizona, lets say, and his wife and kids are still in Texas.

To me it's workplace seperation. The same if you were working the rigs up north and being gone 6 weeks out and 1 week home. It's a very tough way to make a living.
