What like a Preacher? Preaching the good word of our Lord!

It depends how you define lying: if you qualify it as a concious act that can only be done if you know what you're saying to be untrue then you haven't lied. The trouble is many define lying as the telling of an untruth regardless of what the teller believes. I believe that you cannot lie if you believe what you say to be truthful. That's just my opinion and many may feel you did lie, however you're ok in my book =D

If you consciously know something is not true and tell people that could be construed as a lie. But, on the other hand it depends on the subject, some things are taken as fact, like any given relgious belief. Those are not founded in hard facts just intrepration of old scripts and anecdotal stories, prone to of centuries to distortion. So, your question has no 'one size fits all' answer. It rather depends on the actual starting point of your belief and its basis.

No you are not.

You are speaking your truth.

Not everything we hear is the truth.

Only when we believe it, does it become truth, for ourselves, not for others.

This is 'normal' this is how we 'learn', we get preached to with lies, then we discover the truth after many years of living someone elses truth.

When we discover our own, we realise we can change our truth at any given moment, if we so choose. Then we are living our own truth, not off the lies of others.

However, telling people what you believe to be true and the source what not from yourself, but from one other...then it is not about lying. It is about gossiping. Any one who speaks the truth of another, when they are not there to speak for themselves is engaging in keeping gossip alive. Silence is the best teacher. Observing is a good option.

That's a tricky one. If you say that it is what you believe whether it is true or not, then you are not, but on the other hand if you tell knowing that it is not true and lead them to believe that you believe in what you are saying, then you are lying!

Are you aware that what you believe is not true? That's the thing. If you KNOW something is incorrect and tell others it's the truth, that's a lie, or more likely a deception.

Yes your lying and if you believe something that's not true you must be lying to yourself as well.

You're not lying, but you're spreading a lie. It's another case of the road to hell being paved with good intentions. This is not some hell in an afterlife. It is the repercussions of people not trusting your word.

What are you telling them? You say it like you know a truth but are simply denying it's fact. You're both sides of the coin at once. That's a funny way to think, my friend. Stick to the truth you know, or what you don't know but believe. You can't know a truth and deny it at the same time.
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

Of course not - to lie you need to know you are not telling the truth. You would simply be misinformed if you told someone something without realising it is not true.
