Probably within the same day - some people talk about what they dreamt in the morning... When a couple discovers that they dreamt the same they would think of it as a strange coincidence and told about it someone else. When they discover that the third person had the same dream they would think it was spooky and start actively asking all the people they know what they dreamt. Sooner or later somebody would write about it on the net and the news would spread very fast.
BTW, I dreamt about a bunch of penguins that chased me to cover me with cherry jam.... don't tell me you had the same!

Never happen. I dream, but I never remember them. Even if I did, I don't see that coming up in conversation.
