I've got a verucca on my foot and its been there for a few years. I've been using Bazuka and all the other stuff on the market but it just won't go. My GP says that the surgery doesn't deal with them anymore. What should I do as its really disgusting and embarrassing and wearing a plaster all summer got silly

Verrucas are tough things to get rid of, and they take time. The fastest method is to find a GP who will use liquid nitrogen on them. As it's on your foot, some GP's won't do it. The liquid will burn the wart and raise a blister, and the process is a bit painful. It may take a few applications to completely remove it, but it is effective. The only other choice is to use either the Duofilm or another preparation of at least 1% Salycylic Acid- either in a liquid drop form or the callus/wart pads on the market. Dr. Scholls makes them with a tiny medicated pad and a cover to hold it in place. It doesn't really matter if it's labeled for corns, calluses or verrucas, as it's all the same chemical being used. It just takes a good while to get it all. Most of the time the doctors will tell you it takes a good 4-6 months of constant use. Lucky winter is coming,so you can hide the plasters in your shoes or with socks. If you keep at it, you might have it off for next spring. Sorry- that's the best there is to offer.

Try Duofilm. It worked with me and my sons.
