Do you even own a passport? If you do, you are the 1 out of 10.

Do you have any desire to see the rest of the world?

I ask as a fellow American

Good for you all! Seriously. I am guessing you tend to be much more open minded than your non-traveling countrymen and women.

I bet not even 1 of 10 americans have ever left their own city/town to visit another city/town inside the US. I'm not a citizen, I have a passport and have traveled around the world as well, but in my mind I thought that it will be nice to get to know the country that has become home (for right now) and so far I have been to 20 different us states, I guess it's a personal choice and desire to get to know a little bit about the land that you are standing on.

Yes, I own a passport
Yes, I have been further than Mexico/Canada (specifically, Egypt and South America), as a matter of fact, I've never been to Mexico or Canada

I would love to see the rest of the world, if I had the time/money, I'd love to visit Japan, Netherlands, Iceland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.

Yes and Yes. If you have ever been in the service you have probably seen another country. I've seen Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, England, Ireland, Holland, Switzerland, France, Germany(one of my favs), Italy, Greece, Spain, Gibraltar, Turkey and am looking forward to seeing Scandia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Czech Repub., and Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand all very soon. Traveling is work, but its worth it.

I've visited my family in the Philippines twice and I still have my passport from that time, but it expired over three years ago. I've long desired to visit Egypt to see the pyramids and I'd like to visit India because I find their culture interesting and I love their fashions. Strangely enough, I've never been out of state -- I'm not counting the time we changed planes in San Francisco or when the plane briefly landed in Honolulu to let the other passengers out.

One out of ten? Wow. All six people in my family have traveled farther. Some to Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, even Antarctica. I live in Japan now and enjoy meeting people from all over the world. My family loves traveling.

I have been outside the U.S. I am a military brat, so I never had a passport. But I have lived in Germany and Italy and I'd go back to live there in a heartbeat.

I DO have a passport.

Other than Canada & Mexico, I've been to:

Iceland

I hope to see the 'whole' world - eventually.

C'mon, we all know there isn't any civilization beyond the US. Canada and Mexico are pushing the limits right there!
