Has anybody experimented with hot/cold showers?

Not worth the trouble, a cold is a virus and the only way to get rid of it is to let it cure itself. There are some medications on the market that allegedly make them go away faster but the jury is still out on that.

Nothing "cures" a cold, it is caused by a virus and neither hot nor cold showers will get rid of it. It just has to run its course. Taking cold medicines can help the symptoms and make you feel better but won't cure it.

There is no cure for the common cold.

Will you relieve symptoms by alternating hot/cold showers? I highly doubt it.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

They must because if you do them for ten days the cold will be over. Or you could avoid the discomfort take some pain killers and other symptomatic relief. Your cold will probably last about a week and a half.

oh no.. what are you doing... your likely to get sicker by doing that... because of the temperature changes in your body...

In medicine there's no cure for common colds... all you have to do is drink lots of water and fluids... drink vitamin c... and take a rest... your shower thing is crap, trust me... it wont help..
