My wife of 25 years is now my best friend. When we first met, all I needed was a warm body to hold. When she started to get serious, I started to panic and tried to end it. No matter what I did she wouldn't go away. I even sold my house and moved to get away from her. Three days later she found me. I remember thinking if she cared for me this much, maybe she was worth keeping.
It's a decision I don't regret making.
So hang in there.

Prepare yourself for a life of hurt if this sort of fantasy is what you are looking for.
True love is a state of mind and not something you can earn, nor something you have to 'do/give/giveup' like some cheap romance novel. It comes over time with someone you can trust, not overnight with someone you don't know.

as much as i am comfortable with and not at the cost of losing myself or my identity. because this is the thing, finding your true love is a wonderful thing however when one's happiness is anchored on the love or approval of someone else then thats not a very healthy thing. people change and when they do that can be devastating when the person who is the world to you suddenly does not want to have anything to do with you. these scenarios are what sad songs are made of...as well as addictions.in loving anybody, one must always love oneself first.

real true love only comes around once in your life time. I mean real true love. If you think you found real true love then go to what ever means it takes to keep that true love. Or as Madonna says...put your love to the test. Make him show you whats real. Why should a women do all the work...make that man show you that he cant live without YOU.

I have moved to a very isolated area that is dangerous to be with the woman who is an international relief worker because I love her.
