I want to search for the exact phrase "sa=check" with Google. How do I do it? When I enter it it doesn't show the '=' sign.

Enter this into the search engine:
"sa" "=" "check" with all the quotation marks
But I think you actually mean SA-check......!

Ahhh soo!
In this case look at this code which uses "SA = check"

Use Google code search! http://www.google.com/codesearch
It's a great code searching site, to search for the exact string just do "sa=check". Here's the search results, hope you find what you're looking for! --> http://www.google.com/codesearch?q=%22sa%3Dcheck%22&btnG=Search+Code

goolge does seem to see the =, if you check the URL for the search it has '%3D' which is an equals, but the google engine seems to remove it.... using a phase search works but it kills the meaning and the first 4 pages have nothing to with coding...
what exactly are you looking for? if you just want to search for that phase then you cant, but if your looking for into tell us what u need to know, we may know it

USE this "sa=check" then it will be treated as a string not as equation

If I reading currently. Google only recognizes ='s as a calculation not as a source.
