Anyone else think this is an ENORMOUS ripoff? I was about to buy tickets yesterday online - 40 bucks per ticket with a 'convenience charge' of 9 bucks a piece. Even if I go to the venue box office, apparently I still have to pay this fee; which I personally don't find convenient.

It annoys me as well. I understand they are a business and have to not only recover their costs, but make a profit. But it does seem a little out of line.

Plus - I would rather it just be included in the price of the ticket. Don't make up some bogus name like "convenience charge'! I would rather them charge me $49 for the ticket than charge me $40 for the ticket and $9 for a 'convenience charge'. Same money - just a psychological thing I guess!

It's a huge ripoff-but it is just part of life.

I hate ticketmaster but they have us by the short and curlies if we want to attend major events without winning a contest to get tickets.

Pearl Jam protested their exhorbent fees in the 1990's probably there are stories about it on the internet. They didn' want their fans to be robbed of 9 or more dollars a ticket either.

Good luck!

Peace
Dwight

It's also non-refundable. (Tours do get cancelled, i.e. Steven Tylers illness) It's not fair, but they have the tickets, and it's put up or shut up.

Supply and Demand, baby. You want it, you pay what they set. If you don't like it, nobody is holding a gun to your head. Grow up.
