how are you finding the course? im thinking about starting distance learning. any feed back or tips would be great!

You will only get feedback when in a positive loop, i.e. when standing with a microphone in front of a speaker. This will cause the amplifier to saturate and produce that high pitch squealing.

Any mathematical based subject is suitable for distance learning as it is not subjective, however you will miss out on the practical elements that you would at university

Course Description

This course is designed to improve your technical qualifications and abilities and to prepare you for further study at Higher National Diploma level.
Course Content

The course comprises six core units:

* Engineering Project
* Engineering Design
* Engineering Science
* Analytical Methods for Engineers
* Business Management Techniques
* Electrical and Electronic Principles

In addition, you will also study four optional units, which will be appropriate to either the Electrical or Electronic option. You will also have the opportunity to undertake additional units in Mechatronics.
Teaching and Assessment

A variety of teaching and assessments methods will be used on the course including lectures, seminars, assignments and phase tests.
Progression Prospects

A Higher National Certificate (HNC) allows you to progress to Higher National Diploma (HND) and/or an Engineering degree and most industries recognise this as an essential qualification for their engineers and technicians. It is recognised as the first step towards achieving full membership of the Institute of Incorporated Engineers (IIE).
Entry Requirements

The Following entry criteria apply:

* Minimum 18 years of age; and
* a National Certificate or Diploma in an Engineering subject; or
* a GNVQ Advanced/AVCE in Engineering or Manufacture; or
* at least one GCE A Level pass, with appropriate supporting GCSE passes at grades A-C in an appropriate science or technology subject.

The College also welcomes applications from those individuals possessing non-standard entry qualifications.
