There are SO MANY wonderful towns on the Oregon Coast!

My most favorite is Cannon Beach. It's full of quaint little shops and of course has Haystack Rock (think Goonies Movie), which is covered with sea life in the spring/summer. I haven't been in the winter, so who knows what's there.

Another favorite is Astoria (Also think Goonies, Kindergarten Cop movies) Full of history and cute shops.

Drive north 30-40 minutes from there to Long Beach Washington, where they have "the longest beach in the world" or at least that's what the sign says! It's the best beach to drive out on, if you have 4 wheel drive. We always ride the go-carts, eat "beach food" and then head out to long beach, where you can find a empty area of the beach to pretty much have to yourself. Strong undertows though, so be careful.

I think every season at the beach has it's benefits. Of course in the summer, you'll have warmer weather. But even "warm" on the coast can be pretty cold! The winters are known for the storms, and I think are a more "romantic" time to visit, get a room that overlooks the ocean with a fireplace and snuggle up!

Have fun and enjoy the coast!

Hey Tim,
I would suggest fishing or rent a dune buggy and tour the Oregon Coast Dunes. You can Go Crabbing off of some peers and there are some guides there that guarantee great fishing or you can sit back and check out the hot Oregonian Babes and there is a host of micro breweries on the northern coast. It helps with the help of hops.. LOL Here's some links.

Good luck and by the way you may want to stay away from the beer if you are going to ride dune buggy style
there beer is pretty good.LOL
