What cracks me up is that people accuse MSNBC of being left. Have you seen "Scarborough Country"?
If anything I appreciate that MSNBC allows opinion shows from both sides.
Actually, I love Keith's comments. I know they piss off those on the right, but it's all well and good. Most everything that the commentator on Fox say pisses us off too, so it's only fair.
I thought it was brilliant, and I can't believe that anyone can support the suspension of Habeas Corpus - a philosophy that has been a part of Western tought since 1305 and a part of law since it was established in England in 1679.
So, no big deal, right?
Do people not understand what was signed? The law says that the President can now say that anyone - ANYONE - can be called an enemy combatant - citizen or not. And if they are, they can be held indefinitely.
So, Republicans, what happens if Hillary gets to use this power? Because you signed it over to any President and you support its use FOR ALL TIME, right?

I think if people took the time and effort to see how enemies were treated in prior wars, they would understand that the current scheme is, if anything, more protective of these people than past programs.
I think people still don't get it - we're at war. You don't give enemies Miranda rights and lawyers. You lock them up until hostilities cease.
As much as you fear this new law, I fear the ignorance and hatred within our own country that spews these leftist lies. THAT is what could well destroy us.
My views are as sincere as yours. I wish folks like you and Olberman would focus half of the energy you expend fighting our government on fighting the terrorists. We'd be a lot closer to winning if people like you and him did.
