How about going to two or three local nature reserves and measuring the diversity of plant and/or insect species and seeing if you can identify or at least hypothesise about why one habitat is richer than the other(s)?

You know Mr/Miss/Mrs City S I am also doing Computer science Bsc degree first level. I have heard Programming is something that needs total accuracy and dedication. We were just introduced to it yesterday. And the lecturer who is responsible for teaching it to us, emphasised too much on the importance of quality program writing. You, at last are doing you final year. But the demand for quality programs would never become less critical and ofcause challenging. As in the industry out there, you will have customers and businessmen/women who will request certain programms from you. Now in answering of you question. Do you think that by the due date in which you will be submitting your program, these senseless patronizing money freaks would pay you for telling them, its not working properly or has some errors? They don't care! All they want is what they requested of you. So if you are looking into going into that field. You have got to make computer language your own, and only that way will you think like a computer and make success of you computer science profession. I can tell you you will love your job, as I certainly feel the ability to manipulate computers to ones advantage is a hobbie and interest that you will find in neither other profession.
