easy---you can download a copy of a programme called soundforge (version 6 is the latest, i believe) you connect your turntable to a mixer (or from an output socket on your amp if you dont use decks)--then the mixer into your headphone socket--then thats it, perfect recordings...you can even manipulate what you have recoded (echo, flange etc etc)

you can also get programme that gets rid of bumps and crackles too

well unless u can get some super fancy hifi with and LP, tape, and CD player.. my guess would be to first record the LP onto cassette then go to the IT guys and get them to burn a CD from the cassette...

i know a guy who can do that - but unfortunately we prob aint on the same continent with you... but thats the process... but aish the tape to CD process takes foreeeeeeeever ...... z z z z z z z
