These used to be my favorite books when I was young, and I want to pick one up and reread it for old times sake; however I can't seem to remember which ones in the series I really loved. What book in the series would be well worth my time to read?

I like On the Banks of Plum Creek because it is so funny! I love the part when Nellie Oleson gets leeches stuck to her foot! These Happy, Golden Years is also a wonderful book. It has hard work as a schoolteacher for Laura, and her beautiful courtship with Almanzo Wilder. All the Little House books are great!!!!!

I think everyone is going to have a different favorite in the series. I read and loved most of them. My personal favorites would probably be Little House on the Prairie, the Long Winter, and These Happy Golden Years. I enjoy rereading all of them though.

This would be a tough one because I enjoyed all of them. But if you are going to re-read them start with an early one like "Little House on the Prairie" "Little House in the Big Woods"or "On the Shores of Plum Creek" (I believe that one is where she first meets up with her nemesis Nellie Olson) then work your way up as Laura grows up to "Those Happy Golden Years" which is the story of Laura and Almanzo. Happy reading!!!

I really enjoyed Little House in the Big Woods, Little House on the Prairie, On the Shores of Plum Creek, Farmer Boy (the one about Almonzo), and Little Town on the Prairie. I love them all and reread them almost every year!

Im not sure which is the best but start from the beginning they sell sets of them which have them all even the Almanzo story Farmer Boy.

I liked the ones when she was living with her family the most.

On the banks of Plum Creek was my favorite out of all of them and The Long Winter.

I really liked "These Happy Golden Years." Almanzo comes into the picture for a courtship...and I was in love with him.
