localy, malarkey is foolish behavior,intentionaly or unintentionaly. shennagnigans meant sometimes foolish atempts to decieve, sometimes not so foolish attempts,either one.

Malarkey is foolish talk and shenanigans means doing something which causes discomfort to others or u r behaving recklessly now if u've done some foolish talk which has caused somebody major discomfort then dude u may have had both...and since ur question says u may have had both or neither, although I say ur having shenanigans with ur questioning ability :-P lol u did cause discomfort here :D damn thats wat i think hehehe

Neither malarkey nor shenanigans are something you can "have." Malarkey is an old time way of saying "a bunch of baloney". Shenanigans is some sort of trickery, as in,
"You're up to your old shenanigans aren't you , dropping water balloons on the nuns."

Shenanigans are classed as mischief, prankishness,deceit or trickery, while malarkey is a speech or writing designed to obscure, mislead, or impress.

If, as your name suggests, you're quite naughty then it's highly likely that you have had both.

I like both words, but I'm fairly certain that there's little, if any difference in meaning.
