Marriage seems to be a cliche, but that's what I am facing in a debate.
I would like to know if there are any celebraties or famous people who have children without a marriage, but they still have a happy family.
Actually, I would like to prove that marriage is not necessary for a happy family.

In my opinion marriage is when two people come to the realization in their relationship that they don't want to be with anyone else for the rest of their lives. Now if you decide to make this commitment infront of all your family and friends and an officiant or just to each other that is completely up to you. Marriage is not a piece of paper and two rings, it's a commitment to your partner and to God that you will be faithful to that person for the rest of your life.
I just got married about a month and a half ago, but I concider me and my husband to have been married for aleast 2 years before that. That's when we decided that we didn't want anyone else other than each other, and I would be perfecly happy whether or not we got married (legally). Hope this helps.

I know people who have gotten married like decades after theyve been together so I guess its not necessay for a happy family.
I do think that Marriage is a beautiful thing, especially with the right person.
You know, it is such a beautiful promise, its a nice act of showing love.

Marriage is not essential for any family. Some it matters but I think it is just a way for the women to have a constant hold on you. Once you say I do then your balls are in her dresser drawer and you have to beg for them everytime you want to use them. Marriage is bunk.
