How many people on Blood pressure tablets stop taking them?

How many people stop taking blood pressure tablets without telling their doctor because of the side effects?

More to the point I wanted to ask how many people have to stop taking blood pressure medication because of the side effects.

i think very few, becoz if u are taking blood pressure pills u hav to counsalt yr doctor for increase or decrease the dose or stop taking the pill all this things depend upon doctor and yr health. so it is not advisable to stop taking blood pressure pills without asking the doctor, thanks.

I am supposed to take pills for hypertention. I take them irregularly, and miss several days and then start again. But I am told it is very irresponsable to not take them.

Prior to taking the meds, I tried exercise, diet change with less salt, cayenne pepper under the tongue, less booze, but nothing helped lower my blood pressure.

I should follow my own advice. Take the pills to lower your blood pressure and try all you can to changer your lifestyle and lower your weight to normal. I dont want to take these pills for the rest of my life, but I have told by some guys that if you dont take the pills, you will likely get a stroke and then maybe die. So take the pills!

Probably quite a few, but its not very sensible! It can cause severe problems and can result in death...sorry but there is no sugar coating for this one. If you are considering this or have done it...get medical attention ASAP.
There are loads of different meds to choose from there is bound to be one that works for you without the side effects.
