I believe that depends on what kind of relationship you have! If you're in a co-dependent relationship distance will drive them crazy and it will seem as though they can not function without the other person! My fiance and I have been together for lets call it too long(just kidding) any way he travels a lot, I would say he traveled maybe 40% of our relationship at first and it slowly decreased and then went back up again. Between January and June he was gone 50 % of that time frame! Now that I have health concerns he hasn't traveled since August 1st! But I believe that's what keeps our relationship fresh and fun. We actually have time to miss each other! I also don't go out with him as much as I go out with my friends he's the same way! Why should I spend all my free time at home with you when I come right home to you anyway, For God Sake we live together! Distance definitely makes our hearts grow fonder!!!!

Usually when a person is far away its not the distance but the time usually the furthest one is the longer thew are away they could be next door and if you dont know that and its a year you dont see them this makes the heart grow fonder.

Yes...distance does makes the heart grow fonder...(from personal experience) and you will cherish every moment you are together.
However, it really takes commitment, trust and understanding to make this relationship work.
Cheers...

It really depends on the relationship! For me it was always the things said when I was missed or how they were said. And it helps if there is a slight break in between when the two of you can spend time together.

I've been with my guy for 3 years, and we've been apart by distance for about 2 months now...
And we are more in love now than ever.
If you truly love each other and are truly commited, it works.

First 3-6 months, yes. After that, out of sight, out of mind.
