My partner and I are writing a show for families based around fairy tale characters. We need an opening song, preferably an upbeatish, perky feel good type song. Any suggestions? We had thought of "Zipa-dee-do-da" or something like that as that doesn't quite work. Y'know maybe something with birs and sunshine but can be pretty any genre of song.

Go to any karaoke site and browse the titles by category -- broadway or children's music. All the popular songs will be listed. I would check the soundtracks to Peter Pan, Sound of Music, Cinderella, Aladdin/Little Mermaid, anything from Walt Disney or Alan Menken. Even "Good Morning" from "Singing in the Rain".

Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. Very fun...nearly frenetic beat.
