I am an advocate fan of using Mozilla Firefox. On my personal PC. I am encountering this error code: Offset: 5100000, this occurs when a website has windows media player embedded in it's website. It causes the web browser to close. This also occurs in Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have google for finding a solution. But i can't find anything straight forward or to narrow down my search. I have looked at the Mozilla Firefox forums as well. Tried all alternatives in rectifying this problem. I would like to know if anybody else has encountered this problem and found a solution? I don't want to be in a position of having to reinstall Windows XP again? My version is a pirate one! there i'd said it. But i do have an original disc. Please let me *Other I.T. Professionals* if you have came across this problem? If you need additional information, let me know and i shall supply it.

Sounds like media player or one of the components it uses is corrupt. If the site works properly in Internet Explorer then its a problem with the way media player interacts with Firefox. Try removing both and reinstalling if that doesn't work it would be quicker to reinstall your entire system. I would suggest using a program like Acronis True Image to make daily backups so next time you can role it back to a time when it worked. Makesure you keep your documents on a seperate harddrive.

I hate people who only value the opinions of "professionals". I know an answer to this but I'm damned if I'm going to let on.

Also, I just searched Google, and it's not impossible to find info about this. Obviously you're not _that_ professional....
