World peace in our time................?

we have all been pondering on if world peace will ever be achived and if so then when? imagine a world where every country will prosper and instead of spending the kind of money we spend on war putting it to good use on our country.......better education, medication, etc. Tell me your thoughts on how if ever world peace can be achived.
