I would avoid lemsip sort of things, its usually got caffeine in it plus a decongestant, better off sticking to paracetamol only, but try not to take the max daily dose, just take it if you really really need it. It wont harm your baby, so dont worry, but I personally think its best to avoid it if you can.
i know its hard hen u r pregnant, but its worth a few days discomfort to know you arent putting anything in you that may harm the baby at such an early stage of development.
Plenty of rest, bed, lots of water, try making your own honey and lemon drink, just snuggle up on the sofa with your duvet and ride it out.

NO. You can make your own with paracetamol, lemon, honey and water but not take the shop bought variety. I was told this a few weeks ago by a doctor. Apparently there are additives in Lemsips which they advise pregnant women to avoid.

Why not ask your local pharmacist? They're perfectly qualified to give professional advice over your concerns. If LemSips aren't suitable, they'd advise you on a safe alternative like Tyxilix or something.

I would probably speak to your pharmasist, failing that call you health centre and ask to speak to the nurse before you take anything. Im sure Lemsips have paracetamol in......check first, better to be safe than sorry. Hope you feel better soon

You should be OK to paracetamol or lemsip, but if you're in any doubt, first check the packaging (if you already have these items at home already) - if you're still not sure, call NHS Direct, they will advise you. - 0845 606 46 47.
If you're going to buy them, ask the pharmasist (they will give you best advise).

Just eat healthy. Eat foods that help fight off infections, etc. Go out and get a copy of Earl Mindell's Vitamin bible. email me if you have any firther questions. there are so many suggestions on things to eat and drink and other things to do to take care of colds and viruses, I don't want to put it all here. I rarely see the doctor. Oh, I do get sick, but I use home remedies and they work just fine. Also, much cheaper.
