Hi - Im sorry youre going through such a tough time with your skin, hormones are a right sod arent they? A close friend of mine tha the same problem as you and h went to the docs and got some really strong cream PLUS tablets oo. IT took a few weeks to see a difference but within say a few months, he was acne free. Its defnitely worth going to your doctors surgery, you dont have to see your own GP, any doc will be able to see you have a skin problem and get you started on a course of pills (think theyre antibiotics but pls dont quote me on that!). I used to have acne all over my back and shoulders and was SO embarressed by it! However, I realised that (cliche coming up here!!) it was what was inside that counted and my friends and family never made me feel uncomfortable about it or mentioned it. Ignore the bullies, they just have no lives and nothing better to do. Oh, and regarding your gf? Dont lose her (at least not over this). Times like this can be difficult and you need lots of loved ones around.
So, first up, call the docs now for an appointment and good luck! Itll be alright. Sending big hugs (or is that too girly?!) Bxx

I'm no doctor, but I had spots when I was a teenager.
I used every product on the market, and very little helped. My advise would be to try and keep your skin clean. By this, I mean of products too. Wash with water only as most other things take the moisture from your skin, which in turn, makes your skin over-compensate in natural oil, causing more spots. Eat healthily and excercise. A positive mental attitude will also help. Don't despair, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Good luck.

I had the same problems when I was younger. I've never answed a question on here before but I really feel that you should take my advice. I went through years of different antibiotics all prescibed by my local doctor - none of them worked. It was only when I was prescribed Roaccutane by a dermatologist that my acne cleared. I saw similar results with my sister. The stuff really does work, ask for this drug, don't waste your time on the crap your local GP gives you, for full on acne, which is what I had, you need a serious drug. Be prepared for some side effects, read up about it as much as you can and remember it will take months of treatment. I've got a feeling it goes under a different name nowadays so you might need to look that up. Best of luck

I am sorry you feel so bad. If is is any consolation - I had a boyfriend at school with terrible acne, but I still went out with him, it did not bother me, but I know how bad he was teased.Your GP should give you steriod cream and antibiotics & gentle mild but frequent wash with baby soap and witch hazel might help. or, a drop of liquid TCP in the water is good. Don't stab yourself, because although life seems bad now, in a few years it will all be so different - and if you can cope with this, as an adult you will be so much stronger for it. It WILL change - lets hope sooner, not later, hey? Until then, there will be a few guys who are friendly at school who don't judge by appearances so much, maybe hang out with them. Everyone has some hang ups -even though they don't admit it. You are being brave. Good luck

go to the doctors.
honestly he might be able to help.
or go and see a skin therapist. they might be able to suggest something milder for your skin.
or see a chinese herbalist. sometimes these work if you want to sort it out then try anything you can.
there is a company called energist.. based in swansea and they have a light pulsar thingy which can be used on acne skin and can help reduce scarring and get rid of the actual acne, my sister has tried it made it look better and it might work, they might be able to tell you somewhere that stocks them a salon and someone who can work them? energist international i believe the company is called.
also if your gf is a nice girl despite the mickey taking she will stick by you cos of you not cos of the way you look!
good luck i used to haev acne when i was younger and it went away when i got older! dont pick thats the main thing! makes it worse!

i used to have many spots on my face. i was ocne very despair. i use alot of facial wash but it alway got worse. First u must noe your skin type is it dry or oily. our body will produce oil if our face is too dry. wash your face only 2 time per day. eat healthy, drink at least 8 glass of water per day, go to washroom and unleashed your weight everyday(****). this way the toxic in your body will not build up in your body.

you will have to go to a doctor to get any perscription strength meds i know some ppl that have used proactive and really liked it and said it worked wonders for them but everyone is different. about the girl friend, you shouldn't break up with her... she likes you for you obviously and doesn't care about your skin so don't break up with her just because of some pimples. i don't think anything is going to completely clear you skin by monday... you have to give it time... good luck

i had a friend at school that suffered with acne, she went to doctors eventually and they gave her antibiotics and they worked a treat, try it. please do not take any notice of the idiots that criticize and do not dump your girlfriend, she loves you the person, whatever you look like.

Please don`t despair, it will just be your age, and it will clear up on its own. Do not finish with your gf, she loves you, you have to stop listening to the ignorant arses who make comments. Go to your gp, explain how this is affecting your life, they will help you, and give you something to help your skin clear up. Please, just give it time, it will clear up, it is hormonal changes going on, and it will get better. Good luck, and please, do not despair.
