Yes! Because I was afraid that the person I was in love with wouldn't love me back! I was also afraid that maybe he would love me for one reason or another and at some point I wouldn't be able to live up to that expectation and he would leave! I have multiple reasons for being afraid but they all boil down to one thing being afraid to start over! I mean getting to know someone, trust them, care for them, let them in to your heart and being vulnerable again! I hope that works as an answer!

i was with a lady for 6 years. i loved her with all i had. ive been alone for 3 years now, and im afraid to love. i dont want to get hurt like that again. not sure what youre question is, but i answered it the best i could. good luck

Sadly, yes.
I've been afraid to love because of being hurt in the past.
But I've come to realize that I can't let that stop me.
Although sometimes I feel like, what the hell is the point - all love does is hurt people!
Then again, love gives us a reason to live.
So... yeah.

Experience tends to harden you and keep you inhibited.
All those phony pre-nups are examples of people seeking something more from a marriage rather than bliss.
Love becomes more and more difficult to define as dollar signs take preference.

its complicated. i've been burned! lol. I promised myself not to love again. I have alot of respect for people close to me and i admire them, but as far as love them... no. Im happier this way.
