Whats better about it? What does it do?
I have 2 computers and I downloaded it on one of them, so I could download windows media player 11, lol.
After that my computer started having some problems...
The icons and toolbar of the desktop wouldn't show and it kept on saying there is a problem please close...
The computer I am using right now is new and it has windows starter pack 2!!
So why did it give problems to the other one???

SP = Service Pack
In Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs there shoudl be an option to remove SP2

First of all is "service pack 2"
And it has some security improvements and also some bugs patches. Your problem is probably the lack of resources in the PC where you are running the SP2 or maybe you did the installation wrongly. Why you don't just pay to somebody and they will do it for you I hardly think this is your field of expertise.

:) id say don't do it till you know more about why those problem's appeared if it isn't broke don't fix it make sure you have a good av and anti spy-ware plus a fire wall and you'll be OK . if you want to further explore why sp2 is giving you trouble give details like the OS win 98 ? me? xp? vista? processor type amd p1,2,3,4 dual core ? ram ? 64mb 128 512 10 gig?? just some things to help you get a more specific answer :) hope iv helped .

service pack 2 addresses some of the security concerns missing in the previous additions but please consult Microsoft first and they will be only to glad to assist you
you must have all windows updates installed before attempting to download the service pack in addition Microsoft will mail out a CD with service pack 2 on it free of charge if you ask them to
