Hi there..sometimes straggling files are still there in the Mac when you uninstall the application. To delete these files type "yahoo" in the Spotlight search (upper right hand corner of the screen). Anything that indicates Yahoo drag to the trash and empty...restart Mac and begin a new fresh install.

Because Yahoo Messenger is a beta version it is has been noted by many users that it is unstable/buggy. Consider using AdiumX which also allows you to chat with not only Yahoo users, but AIM, AOL, MSN, ICQ, Google and more: http://www.adiumx.com/

I have Yahoo Messenger 2.5.3 which is the "Not ready for beta" version and it works great with my JVC video camera. Always approach beta software with caution. It is not always ready for the masses. Also, don't worry about sending a report to Apple. They will not have much to do with Yahoo software, especially beta version.

Why did you place in 9.0 in the previous 8.a million? i could pass to do away with classes and do away with all of yahoo messenger. and then i could deploy. the difficulty-unfastened yahoo messenger. Then i could replace to eight.a million. that's what I did. and that i've got not got purely somewhat hassle. i did no longer deploy 9.0 and thoughts works purely great the way it rather is.
