Not only in Christianity, but in any religion also, bringing harm to any soul - by all means - is a sin.
We as individuals have been taught through out the history, the beautiful virtues of dealing with each other as human beings, and therefore, no matter what disputes we might have among ourselves, we must remember that we live in a civilized world, and TORTURE must not be one of our qualities that we use to serve a certain purpose.

Yes torture is a sin. If a person votes for a politician; such as a Republican, that voted for torture or tried to define torture it is an unforgiven sin. A person has to recognize a sin to be able to ask for forgiveness. If you ever run into a Republican that says they are a Christian you are in the presence of a false prophet.

I assume you are talking about the way prisoners are being treated? Although some say torture has been used is it worse then those that cut peoples heads off with a dull knife? War is never good. But as Christians do we not defend ourselves and just let them kill us? I for one whether it is wrong or right will always defend me and my family and my country's right to be free. I'm sorry if that offends you. But I don't think defending ones country against the evil fundamental Islamic terrorists is either un-American or un-Godly.

"Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord."
Christ taught us to love our enemies.
He said that if a man smites you on the cheek to turn the other so it can be smitten also.
He said that if a man steals your shirt to offer him your jacket also.
He said that Earthly man's words would be: "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."
But his teachings were just the opposite.
Christ could have sent for 10,000 angels to come down and destroy the world, but he said "Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do."
He allowed them to torture him, beat him, spit on him, scourge him, drive nails into his hands, drive thorns into head, curse him, and finally crucify him.
Doesn't this show you that what America is doing now is 100% against the teachings of Christ?
Furthermore, they are 100% against the true American way that our forefathers fought and died for ! ! !
Amen & Amen

Yes, it's technically a sin. HOWEVER, I'm pretty sure that if a terrorist has to be shot in the leg to save thousands of lives, it's permissible.
It seems to me that you haven't read as much of the Bible as you appear to claim.
