How can you Compare the adversary and inquisitional systems. what are some advantages and disadvantages of the adversary system.

Under the inquisitional system, you have the state/authority having already decided that the defendant is guilty, and the burden of proof to prove innocence is upon the accused.

Under the adversary system, the judging authority is neutral, and the burden of proof is on the accuser.

Whether that constitutes an advantage or disadvantage is largely a political question. Our system, the adversary system, isn't perfect, but is considered by most to be better than anything else.

If it weren't, we'd change it.

Adversary system allows people to choose who is correct.
Inqusitional system gives the people the right to ask.
