Ok so its a close friends of mine party. Its on a huge lot and there are two large houses, everyone that i know is there, plus tons of people more. It is an event that lasts for 3 days, and people are playing music and doing drugs, and drinking and having a overall good time. To me it seems like it takes place in the 60s, everyone was dressed like a hippie. Also i keep walking around, and i am enjoying myself very much except i spend the entire time looking for the boy i like, i spend forever it seems just asking for him, searching, and never finding him. But while im looking i run into people and they distract me from looking for him, and although im having a terrific time, it bothers me that i cant find him, i start to loose hope that he's even there. All of the sudden the dream ends and im in a cab and im now 20 years old in Mexico city and it looks developed and beautiful with huge skyscrapers still thinking about the party.

The questions that come to mind are how old are you? did you ever go to a party like this? Do you know in real life the person you are looking for? What is your present connection with Mexico city?
If you know the person you are looking for, it could mean you feel constantly distracted from your time with him.
If you dont know the person, it could mean you are spending your life looking for someone who isnt there!
If you use these as a basis, the rest of the pieces should fall in!

it could mean a bunch of different things. Ive had weird dreams like that too after or before something major just happened to me.
Its probably something insignificant but if it bothers you so much there could be a significant reason. its not so much as signs within the different things, but what it all means together. like you cant interpret the 'signs' and then figure out what the overall thing means from that.
Okay. So its a party, and everyone you know is there and tons more.
maybe they are waiting for you or maybe for the guy your looking for.
doing drugs and drinking, it probably means that these peoples lives are troubled.
its on a huge lot, i would think that means its the world.
Two houses, anything it all depends on the way you look at it, a descision, happiness, sorrow, a fight between two parties or two people.
You cant find someone. that probably means you wont for a while.
3 days. maybe thats how long it will take you to find him.
the 60s clothes. Thats hard. I would say that if you lived in the 60s your probably thinking about the past or you might find him during a 60s rememberance or something.
So what i'm thinking is that these arent the signs completely interperated thesse are guesses.
If you are single, youll find love within 3 days, years, weeks, months, hours, decades, minutes, seconds. Its probably 3 of something. It will happen somewhere significant.
But these are only my guesses. It may or may not be right.

If you could also tell us if the boy you were looking for was someone you actually knew in real life or just a dream boyfriend, that would help. Same for the "close friend". Also, how old are you? I mean, did you actually experience the 60s or not?
Anyway, here's my attempt at a preliminary interpretation.
You feel that life is a party and things are happening and going well for you. But you seem to be looking for something - a part of yourself which you know is there but you can't express it. It's probably a positive quality or trait which you have but which you may have suppressed and now wish you could use.
Being driven by somebody means that someone else is controlling where you're going. Being in a beautiful foreign place (is Mexico City foreign to you?) also means you're getting on in life. However, being inside the cab and not walking around among the skyscrapers suggests that something is being denied to you. And you long for the courage to be or do what you want.
You may need to be more assertive in real life and ask for what you think you deserve, rather than just appearing nice or letting someone else take credit or dictate to you.

It seems like you are searching for close relationship now. You may be lonely at times. However, you still have some sort of conservative thinking about meeting people. You do not want to risk because subconsciously you know it may not be right. That is why in your dream projection you can't find the boy you are looking for. You are resisting something. Something that only you know why you couldn't do what you want to do. It could be shyness or family obstacles.
Basically, this dream reflects your personality towards social life and you vent this all out in dream.

Two houses- sounds like there is a serious decision to be made. The boy represents something that you are searching for in your life - what are you trying to achieve? Sounds like you are working towards a goal but you keep getting distracted. You need to stay on the straight and narrow.
20 yrs old in a cab and thinking about the party - If you don't do what you need to do now, you're going to regret it.

Perhaps you are looking for "Prince Charming" instead of appreciating the joys and beauty of being alive. A lot of women do that.

dreams have no significant meaning. the Freudian BS is just that...BS. all dreams are is your mind playing back the events of the day. its the way your mind resets itself you you don't have a melt down. hence why you go mental after not getting any sleep for 4 days.
