I was engaged for over a year.We were to be married on the fourth of july weekend. My fience stole thousands from our joint account after she dumped me one night. She left a taril a blind man could follow including cancellation of the bank card to keep me from getting my own money. She took it all. I filed in court but the sherriffs office was unable to serve her. Can I refile because they know where she is at now?

She also stole furniture, clothes and my F*&^ing winter coat.Tools and dvd players. The landlord was witness to this. She also had an seperate agreement with the landlord and I was asked to leave. Now we are both being sued and have appeared 5 times. He is turning $1000 she owed into $2800.The judgement is already passed and they are realizing she is continually lying to the court. They put alot of heat on her the last hearing(compliance hearing). Upon a judgement on her from me on this seperate matter, they can garnish her wages or repo the new car I gave her instead or a eng ring. Whatcha think now?

I don't know that much about the law for this kind of thing, but I do not see why you couldn't. If it was in both names, and you have proof that she cleaned it out, then she more or less stole it, that is your portion. After you press charges, you will have to take her to some kind of court to get it back. Maybe small claims court would be ok, depending on how much was involved. You can present your case yourself and also any documentation, and the judge will decide. You have to get some way to enforce this, as was the case with OJ Simpson, he was found guilty in the Civil court, but has never paid a cent as per the papers. They got some of his stuff, but not the millions they were supposed to get. I do not know how this is enforced, but if you can prove she stole, seems like she could get punished somehow by the court. Jail??

It's worth a shot. If you have the documentation you should take her to court. A longer process, yes, but you might get some of it back. ???????

Try again.
Never trust anyone with your money. Always keep
some aside for you. You should be glad you are rid
of that thief.

I would keep trying. I think she should pay for what she did. Call a lawyer and see what they say. Good Luck!!!!!

You better go to the Sheriff's office and talk to them there, instead of asking stupid people here who don't have a clue.

maybe you should hear her explanation or if she really has motive to do this, dont give up and try your best to get back your money.
