Until your divorce is finalized, u are still legally married and therefore it can be considered cheating. I know divorces can sometimes take time to finalize but the way I see it, anything can happen during a separation as there is always a chance that the separated couple might get back together. I'm not saying this is the case for everyone. All I'm saying is that until the divorce is final, the couple is still married...legally at least.

If there is no divorce its cheating, and a legal court ordered seperation is for the two individuals to try to work things out and possibly avoid a divorce. A casual seperation is where the court is not involved and the two of you has just agreed to live seperated to again try to work things out. therefore the legal system does not even know you are not together so in the eyes of legalism and in the laws of christianity it is still cheating.

In legal terms it can be seen as cheating before the couple are divorced, but generally speaking if a couple have separated with no intention of getting back together then it isn't cheating in the normal emotional sense. It will only matter if you're fighting for custody of kids or for money or assets in the law courts.

When wone marries, they marry because they want to share the rest of their life, after that if they fall in love with someone else, either their love is not strong enough to hold or there is some difference of opinion in living style which they did not foresee. But, if the continues to stay together and dating other it is clear cut of cheating

My personal belief is that it is cheating until the paperwork is done being processed
Just because you're no longer living together, doesn't mean you still might be able to work things out. Bringing another person along side you says...nah I don't care, I'm just moving on.
And maybe that's the way things are...

married is married even if u are seperated u should wait until u r divorced to begin dating. If you know it is over between you & your spouse that whats the hold up on the divorce? they don't take that long.

i believe your married till the final papers are signed, and that if there is another involved in your life that it hurts your chances of reconciliation with your spouse. if you have someone else than you won't even try to work things out .not to mention the spouse left behind wanting to work it out and hoping beyond hope theres a chance. it's just adultry.

it depends on the purpose of the separation. If either is hoping to reconcile, I would consider it cheating. If you're both just waiting for the divorce, I'd say it's not really cheating.
