Not the corner bits that can be rmoved with a blade, but on the flat outside of the tank. The stuff won't budge.

The razor will work on the outside too, it may have to be angled differently so you don't scratch the glass but you can get under the silicone. When I had to re silicone a used tank I got that stuff all over the place and had to use the razor.

You'll have to try and loosen it so that you can flick it off.
If it's a glass tank you could try a tiny bit of solvent, but don't let any get near the water at all, even the fumes could have all your fish floating dead by the time you've shifted the silicone.
It's probably too risky to use the chemical. You'll have to go on old fashioned elbow grease.

WD-40 will loosen up the old silicon enough to scrape off with a razor blade.

safe and sound way is to use very warm water and some salt rub gently then scrape off with razor blade or stanley knife blade DO NOT use boiling water and try not to scrape too hard good luck!

Try using a bit of diesel or white spirit.

I used RED SAUCE pease don't laff but there is vinergar in red sauce and i promise you the marks will come off, Try it

try vinegar and then use a decorators knife ( £1.00) from wilkinsons.
