A sober colour either plain or maybe slight stripes. Wear a white shirt. I wouldn't wear black it will look as if you are in mourning.

There isn't a best colour, but avoid anything comedy at all costs. Think about what the business is you are being interviewed for and what you are going to feel confident in. Don't wear something out of character just because you think it will make a statement, you will just be uncomfortable.

Speaking from experience, an interviewer will look to see that you are smart and tidy and that you are taking the interview seriously. Other than that, I would much rather see someone who is happy in themselves and had done whatever they needed to give themselves the confidence to shine.

Good luck!

The best color for a ties to wear for job interview isn't of the same color as the shirt. But if it contrasts too much, let it be on the traditional and trusted colors like Blue, bluish Grey or black. Light colors for ties are seen more as boyish than gentlemanly.

Slanting stripes for ties are regarded as old fashioned where as cartooned and caricatured ones are overtly fashioned.

Choose a tie that satisfies you but not thrills you.

A plain colour to go with what you are wearing, a colour that is good with your shirt, and make sure you tie it well, the best looking is the Winsor knot. once around the small side, back over itself then around the main V shape completely around the back with the main material, Finnish by going under the slip knot, you should have a good formed shape.

If you are involved in any activity, club or association that has a members tie then you could wear that. It would indicate that you have a sense of belonging and loyalty that may help with your interview.

that depends on what colour shirt you are wearing and what colour suit - just wear one that goes with both that isn't too patterned. Avoid funny ties... Has an employer i look for 3 thinks, clean hair, clean tidy nails and clean shoes.
these say more about the person then what tie hes wearing.
Good Luck

My sister recently got an interview she has been trying to get for 5 years. She asked me what colour shirt to wear with her suit because she wanted to wear red but thought it too daring. I told her to wear it if it made her feel good. She said she always feels confident in red ~ so she wore it. By the way ~ she got the job!

I tend to go for a deep pink or soft yellow with small blue diamonds. They go well against a black suit and a light blue shirt. They're not garish and in your face, but individual looking.

Black tie looks like it's fit for a funeral. Blue tends to be rather dull, .
