Go to a beauty shop and ask there. The ladies know more than us guys on the subject. I used a cheap shampoo for about a month or two. Suddenly I was losing lots of hair. My girl friend suggested a high quality shampoo instead. She was right, the problem stopped. The shampoo was $8.00plus per bottle and worth every penny. Trust me or lose your hair- what's it gonna be?

There's a salon brand called Nioxin. It comes in different one but my friend who works at a hair supply store told me to get the White Bottle #3 to start. Disregard the description on the bottle and other ones are not for early stage of thinning. You use the shampoo, then conditioner (leave in on for at least 3-4 minutes and make sure you rub it on your scalp but don't over rub it). My friend's brother started using it few years ago (When he was around 18, and hair lost was genetic) and now the M forehead is gone. I've been start using it for a month now (I'm only 22) and i see my hair grows out more and thicker. With this product, you have to use it every single day and continuously in order to continue with the result. Nioxin has other hair treatment such as follicle booster, hair mask, etc. But those only works if you were to use the Nioxin regime. It's a little bit more expensive than drug store product, but every penny is worth it! Good Luck!
p.s. you can visit their website in order to find one that's best for you!

You need to evaluate the area and determine if the hair is full length with/without the root or if you have hair shaft fractures. Is there a rash or scaring on the skin in the area of the allopecia. These questions change the appropiate recommendation. May I suggest that you see a dermatologist?

My husband started losing his hair at 19yrs. He had to see a dermotologist because of his condition. you shouldn't waste your money on over the counter products you may need a special prescription shampoo. Go see a Doctor.

Any is fine. It's genetic. Sorry to tell you.

But, you can slow it down by not wearing hats. Proven...hats cause baldness.
