It is all in what you believe and what you accept to be true.
According to hindu mythology, keeping lives in captivity is a bad idea. I heard from one of my friend that in a story of hindu mythology, one person had to be in jail for 7 years just because he had a parrot in captivity for 7years.
Keeping a fish tank in home is to keep a life in captive.
This is on one side.
The fish tank has to be placed at proper location to really bring good luck, and has to be maintained regularly to have good clean water, air and sunlight and food. These are required for fish to be healthy.
When you see them happily moving around in water, the happiness stays with you too.

Iam not sure about this. But japenese believe that having a tank at home brings u a great success. So i believe in that. You should have known the fish AROWANA.This fish costs high.A one feet fish would cost you 50,000.This fish is belived to be extinct and now regained its form. This fish has a ability to even shake a fish tank.If a thief enters into your house it can shake the whole of the fish tank and topples it over which which will make you alert. So I believe its true that a fish tank at home will bring good luck.

I"m not sure if keeping a fish tank will bring you good luck, however: it will help lower blood preasure, and help out with stress. This is acually proven. It can improve you over all being. Say nothing about the fun factor ( my personal opinon on the fun factor) So weather or not it will bring you luck you will be healthyer for it.

In china they have Koi fish ponds because they believe that koi bring luck and fortune. Koi though they are very beautiful are also very expencive. I own several large koi. I got them not due to the fact that I needed luck but because of there beauty. But I have noticed since that I gotten them I find myself less stressful and so overly cautious about things and in a sense they did bring me luck because I spend more time thinking about other things now instead of stupid things. So yes certain types of fish do bring good luck and fortune. If you want the true answer go to any local chinese resteraunt and ask them they will gladly fill you in on any inforamtion you'd like.

so true
a. A fish tank placed correctly can bring about greater fortune, as you will tap on the “Divine Water Dragon’s Den”. But if you tap wrongly, it can cause you to have lawsuits, bankruptcy, work pressure, troubles and problems. If you notice any of these after placing a fish tank for approximately four months, shift your fish tank to another location.

Guppies, easiest fish in my opinion. You can have 6 to fully stock that tank. Or 5 and have more options. Or less than 4 to have more options of other fish. Guppies are active, colorful, and grow only to 1.5 inches.
