Hormones I think.
While my ex was pregnant I found my desire to have sex with her greatly increased too, It's not a pregnancy fetish, I don't find other pregant people any more or less attractive... I think there's a lot more to hormones than people generaly realise.
She was more regularly sexualy aroused than usual, and I think my body and senses took her up on the offer her body was signalling... We discussed it at length, and she said she felt she wanted to be loved, and be phisically close to me and feel protected and she wanted to know and be assured that I still found her attractive as a person and a lover (Needless to say... I did), all the closness and assurance activities, Cuddling, touching, intimacy and so on, are also closely related to having sex, so naturally, at the time, we followed our instincts and had sex a great deal more than usual... and it was very nice loving sex too.
I think it helped a lot through post natal too, The realtionship was stong, we were happy, my ex felt desired and loved, our child brought into a happy relationship.
It's also much more important now, as although we sadly seperated, we STILL have a bond, and our kid still has happy parents who like ( even love to degree ) eachother in a rare amicable relationship between ex partners who are joint parents.

Basically because everyone's different.
Some women have high sex drives anyway whether they are pregnant or not. Others don't have a high sex drive naturally. It just depends on the woman. There is no blueprint.
I haven't got a very high sex drive "normally" and I would say its even less high now I'm 33 weeks pregnant.
For me part of the problem has been the unpleasant side effects of pregnancy - constant nausea, tiredness, etc. Doesn't make you feel very horny. Plus it can be hard to get comfortable with a great big bump sticking out between you and your partner! Gets in the way a bit.
But hey thats just me. I'm sure there are plenty of much "hornier" women out there.
Everyone copes differently with pregnancy, everyone feels it differently. Some women have a great time, no sickness, no nasty side effects. They love being pregnant. Others don't.
Noone needs to "boast" about how horny they are in pregnancy (like it makes them better than those who aren't) - or to be made to feel somehow inadequate if they're not. Thats just sad. Growing a special little person in your tummy is far more important.
Oh and btw - If your man uses your lack of sex drive as an excuse to cheat in pregnancy then he's a selfish dirtbag and you and the baby are better off without him.!!!

I think it's because pressures related to sex are off.
When you are not pregnant you are either worrying about not getting pregnant, or trying to get pregnant.
After we had the 2 kids we wanted my Hubby had the snip, so we are again in the same position. It has worked wonders for our sex life, and without the bump getting in the way.

more than likely down to hormones and the need to be close to your partner. i wouldn't say i want sex more often as i have a healthy sex life with my fella anyway but i do feel like i want to be closer to him all the time and so im demanding more cuddles which hes quite happy to supply. LOL

Because they cannot get pregnant since they are pregnant. Men just enjoy bareback style meaning no use of the condom.
