I think ALL native peoples have been mistreated by white invaders of their country.
Same here for Australian Aboriginal people.

For some strange and unfounded reason us white folks tend to think we are superior in some way.

What we are doing to this planet after it has been cared for by so many centuries by the indigenious people, is proving that this is NOT the case.............

I'm sorry, that isn't really answering your question, all I know of native americans is what we read here in history books, and from TV, but the fact that they are now living on "reservations" instead of freely anywhere in THEIR country, says it all.........

Yes.
I'm not sure exactly why, but it's most likely because there was something to gain from it.
How? Just look at all the Indians that were killed and all the one who live on reserves and such like they aren't a part of society.

yes. They wiped out whole villages by giving them blankets that had diseases on them - like typhoid and small pox. Indians had very little diseases until the whjite man came and gave it the them.
