Personally, I feel that escaping from your current "state" is the best stress reliever. A lot of people uses computer gaming to achieve this. This creates another type of stress.

A less in tense hobby may be a good compromise. Something that you can focus on and be happy about. Something that will take your mind away from your current life. For me, I discovered a few hobbies that is very helpful:

1) Keeping a saltwater aquarium - it is both enjoyable to build one and keep everything in good condition and also relaxing to look at the tank.

2) Building and racing hobby class radio control cars. I am not referring to the ones you get in Radio shack. I am referring to the ones that is more complex and also have a lot of upgrades you can do.

I hope this helps and look forward to hearing other answers too.

I am not interested in your 10 points...A good way to relive strees is simple.. first think of what is happening in only one instance at a time ....take it step by step...if for the thing that is bugging you. ask yourself if there is something that you did or somebody else did it ...Write it down on a piece of paper ...split the paper in two...if you did it or someone else did it wright it down... next repete this process...you or them....Make the list with a honest state of mind If you screwed up be up front with yourself>>>think think think...now work on one thing at a time..Do not fall into that thing like She said this and then I added this...You screwed up probally... now to get out of the first stress problem ...get ready to confront your problem and tell someone that you did something and to that you are sorry ...and you feel the problem and you will help understand it on you own...Next if you are stressed about a phone bill for instance cuz you can't pay ....Get your butt on the phone and try to work with them...If that fails then admit that you messed up and you are loosing that service...Now figure out a service that will take you..like a pre paid phone...Don't feel bad a super lot of people have the same problem...Do not think you are alone but take one problem at a time..Be honest when you have one solved ..take on another...some may be unsolveable...So just figure you tried as hard as you can...There are people that have problems that make yours look super small..Do your best try hard..the major cause of stress is lack of communication with the stress peoples. if you do not something "change it" take the chance it may work Be cool think positive and quit blowing it off.. face it.. it may work.I wish I could tell you more but the person asking the question said make it short!!!! Be Positive ..your alive .. I hope and know things are workable ...cuz time cures everything..PPs the guy with the 10 point deal ... tell him he is a nothing with the idea of people for ten points will answer a very serious heartfound question...that has a lot of componets...that he has no answer for........

I would take a long bubble bath with a cold glass of my favorite red wine, I would also turn the lights off and light some candles and play some soothing music.

1. Go to a good spa, choose a suitable therapy massage session that can best put you into a relaxing mood and nap for a while.
2. Go rent a yatch and set out to high sea and relax in the cool breeze with a cool looking butler who can dish out something nice on board for you and get treated like a queen.
3. Lastly, get in bed with someone really great and you loved and have a session of good sex.

GOOD SELF-CARE HABITS:

Eating three square meals a day to nourish my body, especially my brain.
Sleeping at least seven hours every night to rest my body, especially my brain.
Moderate exercise to keep my body, especially my brain, healthy.
Asserting myself when I need to (not being passive or aggressive).
Valuing myself in a healthy way without having an outsized ego.
Recognizing my wants and needs and taking the steps to get them met because I recognize my worthiness to have a good life.
Helping others to do the same without taking on their problems as my own.
Respecting that others have to deal with the consequences, both positive and negative, of their own behavior--just as I do.

There--that should hold you.

I find the best thing to do when everything builds up and you feel rotten is to go away for the weekend. Even if its only for one night. Book in to a hotel or motel and you feel as though your on holiday and seem to forget your troubles. When you shut the door of your room you feel miles away from worries

jogging. your body is a machine. you dont need anything but yourself and your shoes. strap them on, start your legs, and let it go. you can be completely self-sufficient, breathing in fresh air, thinking, feeling, seeing everything without distraction. just you - in every season. and you get to feel that feeling of accomplishment when you're done. sturdy and confident, alone because you chose to master something *for yourself. and the strength and diligence built in your mind and body will come out in everything you do. its a philosophy of anti-stress. not because you have to - because you want to. i love it
