I was asked to leave the job, it was due to Ego problem of the Boss and some politics by the junior staff. It has been now six months, i am looking for another job. During this time they tried to call me back. This further added to the complications because i cannot decide whether to look for a new job or go back to them. What if the fire me again. I am not even sure of their motives. Even my boss's wife spoke badly on the phone to my Dad. I have worked there for 7 years and it is very painful to forget them. I worked very hard for them, i had put my heart and soul in work. I had attained a very prominent position in that office. Please advise what to do?

I would go back with a smile on my face and do my very best work. That will give you an income.

But, I would continue to seek another job. It is usually easier to get a good job while you are employed than while you are out of work.

You could go back and you are in a position to get a good raise. Say, "I'm back in the market, but I need to make sure you're ready to compete for my skills. When could we meet and discuss salary?"

I know people who have been hired and fired numerous times from the same place. Some jobs are like that. It is generally a sign of poor management. You probably will find a new job more satisfying.

I would continue to try to find a better job and put the one you left behind. As tough as it is, you certainly don't want to be thinking about possibly getting fired, having to deal with the office politics again, whether or not you'll be appreciated, whether or not you'll be promoted, etc. It is incredible that the boss's wife spoke badly on the phone to a member of your family--she shouldn't even speak badly to you, unless she's a co-owner of the business. Please put your hard work and soul to a job elsewhere, and good luck!

I would not go back. Even if the ego boss is gone, it still shows that higher management cannot hire competent people in certain positions.

In addition, they had their chance to create a good atmosphere for their workers and obviously did not think about the consequences of their actions.

Then again, one should consider one's own goals first, and decide if that job and company is a good fit for one's own goals. If it is, I would go back and negotiate better pay and conditions.

It is good to hear that they have invited you back but going to the place were they have already thrown you out is not a right idea there may be a problem raising again B'coz of ur Junior staffs or one day or other if u make a silly mistake they may think that they bought you back but u r not good or you may think something like that.
Then it's up to you. but think well and then you decide since you know what is the exact situation

I suggest you 100% not to go to that company. Because even if you go what is the guarantee that they will not do the same thing again. & you will not be in a position to withstand the mental torture again. Please dont ever go to that place. Even if it is late, no probs, you find a better job as per your liking in different places. As you will be left all alone even if you go there & their behaviour will not be the same as how they were to you before. If you want to be happy permanently then choose a different job. Be happy that they realised their mistake & if you were honest & truthful to yourself surely you deserve a reward from the almighty. You dont have to fear for anybody if you are truthful.

just ignore your ego, if u do need this job, u have to think twice, bargain ur salary, if ur boss agree with u, put your strategy in office that u r someone who need to be respected. otherwise U go find a new job and forget everything to ur ex office and prove that u r capable

since you do not have a job on hand, more so since six months you better accept what is being offered.you may get fired from a new job as well, there is no guarantee against being/getting "fired".

according to your problem my suggestion is to resign that job and try to join any other institute where there is no fear to work ,and who are kind towards you. Till you worked hard in that old institute now you carry the same hard work and prove them that you are the best.ok
