Actually it has many more uses than just eating; especially for alternative medicine. For instance Manuka honey has anti-bacterial properties and is can be used to soothe sore throts.

I bought a 25litre drum of Australian honey years ago on offer. I was making home-brew at the time, and I decided to make beer from honey, it was" pale & interesting" unfortunately I could never get it again.
