I'm a non-english young man,I have been trying to give myself an English name, but it seems hard to make a decisive choice.I once self-called Bill, then switch to Andrew,then...then nothing.

My dear you, will you please suggest me a proper English name which sounds resounding and carries a good meaning?

Cholmondoly, pronounced Chumly,
no idea what it means but terribly terribly British and all that......
Actually I'm teasing you, I read this name once and thought it VERY British, but a good general English name could be Adam, or John or Paul, there are so many, get yourself a name dictionary, and read them all out loud till you find something that really jumps out at you.
Can you create an english sounding name that is really a version of your own name? Then it would be uniquely yours.

There are so many English names to choose from. I would just watch television or read books until you hear something that you like and think fits you. If not you could always go with Ford Prefect.
