I may not be too elaborate but I am sure it will suffice. Crops are divided into two categories. Food and Cash crops. Food crops are grown mostly under subsistence agriculture. They are grown for consumption. Grown to be consumed or eaten. Cash crops are grown on the other hand on commercial basis. They are grown for sale or export. Get your agric textbooks out. You will get more information.

Do a Google or Yahoo search for Food Crops and you will be surprised at the amount of sites that you can get the information from....but remember that it is plagiarism to copy something and present it as your own work....

i dont have time for a detailed answer. but to make u understand, i want u to compare the two Wheat and Rubber. Rubber is grown not for eating but for commercial use whereas wheat is for food. We call Wheat and other such crops cultivated for food as FOOD CROPS and Rubber and others as CASH CROPS

a food crop is a crop raised for eating like cabbage, as opposed to a cash crop like tobacco or cotton.
