We all have goals; but are you so caught up in the obtaining of the goal you aren't enjoying the road you're on?

Glad I could help, error.

Wasn't looking for song lyrics, I was trying to make a point. Some got it, some didn't -- but that's half the fun in this.

It is not obtaining the prize that is exciting. It is the chase for the prize that provides the most pleasure and stimulation.
No, I smell the roses, the coffee, enjoy the scenery and the people I meet and still manage to reach my destination at the time intended for me to get there.
It is one of the better aspects of aging because I wasn't always like this.

We , as humans ' have the power of Choice. Some people choose
goal as more important. They don't enjoy the journey. ( They don't care about the journey )
Some give importance to the journey . ( Happy go lucky type )
Wise people just set moderate ( achievable ) goals and get there and enjoy the journey as best as they can. Not much stress for them or people around them.
All are OK. After all we cannot say how an adult should live his/her life, right? There is a wide continuous spectrum from extreme goal to extreme journey. People have the freedom to choose what they want.

The journey, if done well, is hard work. The joy is remembering a job well done. Enjoying the journey too much can lead to disaster. If you've got time to enjoy it as you go, and time to set around and think about how well everyone else is enjoying it, then maybe you, yourself, aren't doing the job too well.

Somebody has said, "Life is what we live today while we plan tomorrow, but we don't realize it until next week."

That is the difference deciding the "how we live" in the popular saying 'Life is about how we live and not how long we live' !
The funniest part of life is, the more we enjoy the journey, the goal post gets shifted nearer ! And, alas, if we miss the joy of journey even for a while, the goal post gets shifted farther away !

i'm so concentrated on holding a idea I forgot the position i replaced into going and fell over a cliff. at the same time as drowning i replaced into contemplating the time when I were given a chocolate Darth Vader cake for my birthday and how cool i presumed that replaced into. i replaced into so deep in idea that a whale got here and swallowed me total. at the same time as i replaced into in there the scent jogged my memory of the time when I were given so ill I very nearly died. Hospitals at the same time as sanitary have that particular scent. in any case i replaced into vomited up on a shore of a abandoned island and replaced into questioning about the time when I were given divorced and how lonely I felt. I took a snooze and at the same time as i replaced into dreaming i realized that I had made to the position i wanted to flow anyhow. the position of my objectives, it truly is, actually, my objectives. *readability* i imagine some human beings get so wrapped up tight in the journey they overlook the position they were stepping into the first position.

It depends!

If you are among the ones who chose RIGHT way, then your destination deserves every effort.
If you are among the losers LEFT, who prefers journey itself over the destination, then journey is your heaven, and the destination is hell.

often people loose sight of what life is really about. life is all about the journey and the destination. i often find myself forgetting to enjoy myself while attempting to achieve my goals.... it is good to put yourself into check from time to time.

it was not journey that wrote the lyrics 'life's a journey not a destination'. it was aerosmith.

Considering life's destination is inevitably death, I try not to be in much of a rush to get there.

There is no destination. There is only the journey. That is wisdom!
